Collection: E-Cloth
How It’s Made: Exceptional Engineering
Before an E-Cloth gets its tag, it’s a high-quality textile. We start with microfiber fabric that has both a high denier and a high ratio of grams per square meter. That’s textile-speak. It means the fibers in our products are heavier than most. And that’s just the start.
In addition to starting with an incredibly high-quality material, E-Cloth then employs a unique manufacturing method, which significantly boosts the cleaning performance of our microfiber cloths.
First, there's the science.
Microfiber cloths have tiny fibers with a positive charge. Dirt, on the other hand, is negatively charged. A water molecule consists of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom, giving it magnetic-like properties. See how this works? When you add water to a microfiber cloth, it draws the grime in, traps it, and removes it from your surfaces.
For microfiber to be effective, however, the textile’s uniformly shaped fibers must first be split. Other manufacturers often accomplish this inexpensively by mechanically crushing the fabric between heavy steel rollers, creating uneven fractures where the fibers cross.
At E-Cloth, we don't take the easy route. Instead, we pass our textile through a solution that creates even voids along the length of the fiber. In combination with water, these voids will attract and hold grime. This produces better cleaning results when compared to the thick, uneven fibers that are split by mechanical processes. Our fibers are split finely and uniformly, allowing our products to clean more thoroughly and effectively.
E-Cloth products and water pull grime into the cloth's tiny voids and the cloth holds the grime in until you flush it away under the faucet. You can be confident knowing you’re left with clean surfaces wherever you use E-Cloth.
